One eContent platform. Many ways to use it. |
|
ebrary: all ebook collections at one ePlatform
- over 120.000 e-books and other publications
- integration with other resources
- purchase or subscription models
|
About the platform: same convenient platform for all your e-books and other e-documents
-
It's easier and less expensive to implement than other institutional repository or content management systems. Because the ebrary is a hosted solution, there is no need for IT staff to implement and maintain the system. And, the ebrary platform can be up and running in days.
-
It features sophisticated technology that turns static PDF files into a dynamic database of documents that are fully searchable and can be cross-referenced.
-
It integrates with your ILS system and other digital resources and information on the web.
-
Can be used to cost effectively archive, manage and share your own digital content such as theses and dissertations, reports, historical books, manuscripts, or other proprietary documents in PDF.
-
There are no bandwidth or connectivity limitations. The ebrary ReaderTM software delivers documents to an end-user's desktop page-by-page. An end-user with a 56K modem can easily access content through the ebrary platform.
-
ebrary's' InfoTools allows for instant access to outside resources from the selected text in a document, such as dictionaries, maps, search engines and more. InfoTools can be customized to take advantage of your own resources like OPAC.
|
Subscription model: databases with simultaneous, multi-user access
-
You may pick and choose individual titles, creating a custom subscription database that meets your individual needs.
-
All ebrary subscription databases offer simultaneous, multi-user access from any computer with Internet access.
-
The majority of titles in ebrary's subscription databases may also be purchased individually.
|
Purchase e-books with your choice of access model, from your choice of vendors
-
Most flexible options for purchasing individual titles in perpetuity. We offer a choice of multi or single-user access for most titles, and you may order them directly through ebrary, selected book distributors, and resellers worldwide.
-
Pricing for our single-user access titles is based on the list price of the book, while multi-user access is a percentage over list price based on the number of full-time end-users (FTE).
