Springer, the world's largest international publisher of scientific books introduces the world's most comprehensive digitized scientific, technical and medical (STM) book collection. The Springer eBook Collection offers the first online book collection especially made for the requirements of researchers and scientists. The collection includes online access to of more than 3,000 newly released STM books each year. The Springer eBook collection will increase the rapidity of newly published research in a broad range of scientific disciplines. Collections are made available through SpringerLink's IP-enabled eBook gateway, already well known to Polish libraries.
Full texts of eBooks are accessible via PDF and HTML formats for Windows, Mac I Unix. The collection offers high resolution illustrations, exceptional search capabilities and bookmarks, making research as fast and easy as possible. Allows integrated search in all purchased content at SpringerLink, including journals.

- Springer publishes 5,000th volume of Lecture Notes in Computer Science . STM publisher Springer, Germany, has announced the publication of the 5,000th volume in the series Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). The series provides scientifically reliable information on computer science in about 200,000 articles. LNCS claims to be one of the world's most authoritative computer science research forums, spanning all areas of computer science and information technology research and development. Read more »

- JPI publishes scientific papers on reshaping pharmaceutical quality. The June 2008 issue of the Journal of Pharmaceutical Innovation (JPI) is publishing the first scientific papers outlining the progress made on the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering's (ISPE) Product Quality Lifecycle Implementation (PQLI) initiative. Written by experts representing the global pharmaceutical industry, these papers present preliminary practical scientific and technological approaches to implementing ICH documents that address Pharmaceutical Development (Q8 and Q8(R)), Quality Risk Management (Q9) and Pharmaceutical Quality Systems (Q10). STM publisher Springer, Germany, and The Nanoethics Group have released a collection of important papers addressing a range of near-term issues related to nanotechnology's ethical and social implications. - Springer announces publishing partnership with the Society for Research on the Cerebellum . STM publisher Springer, Germany, has announced a partnership with the Society for Research on the Cerebellum (SRC). Under the deal, Springer will publish the latter's official journal, The Cerebellum, effective Volume 7, March 2008. This addition further enhances Springer's portfolio of neuroscience titles.
